Lending to University Community
Members of the EAFIT University community may withdraw from the Library to their home or office, as returnable loans: books, magazines, videos, compact discs and other documents. For more information see Rules (Spanish) .

Inter-library lending
The Library offers to EAFIT University users and to the libraries with which agreements are in force, the option of withdrawing documents as loans by means of a letter of presentation or by direct library-to-library contact when the other institution is outside the city or the country. This is possible thanks to the signing of agreements for inter-library cooperation.

Renewal and reserving material
The Library offers its users the possibility of renewing and reserving loans of materials, either personally, by telephone or WEB.

The renewal may be made only one day before or the same day the due date of each document.
Users can to reserve books, magazines, videos and compact discs currently on loan to another user.

To renew or reserve such material, the user should go to the lending section, by WEB or call by telephone to 261-9500, Extension 255.

Express lending to homes
This service, called "SINBAD EXPRESS", permits users to request that lent books be sent to their home as returnable loans. To take advantage of this service, the user must request the sending of 2 documents by filling out the form that appears in the Library’s WEB site.
