120 hours. April 9 to , Mondays and Wednesdays 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Objective
Become familiar with general pedagogical and communicative principles and practices involved in the teaching of English as a foreign language.
Offered to
English teachers, teacher trainers, language program administrators, and other people interested in foreign language education.
Methodology

An integrated methodology involving reading, discussion, and reflection by keeping a teaching portfolio. Group and pair work are encouraged.

The course focuses on a learner-centered approach, links theory and practice, and embraces a learning how to learn approach.

Submit an updated copy of the MELICET (Michigan English Language Institute College Test) with a score no lower than 85%.

Certification, Conditions and Other Services
An EAFIT University certificate will be issued only to participants who earn a passing evaluation grade for this program and have an 85% attendance record.
If there are not enough participants or for external uncontrolled motives, the Continuing Education Center reserves the right to open or cancel the current program and modify: Programmed dates, content, place, fees or proposed lecturers.
The participation of this program would be assigned according to the order of payment and previous interview results.
To refund the total value of the program or not collect the payment fees, inscription annulations must be delivered in a written document before the first class. Once the program begins, EAFIT University would not refund registration fees. In case of withdraw from the program, before there are not more than 5% of the classes, not hours, the participant might use the option to translate the inscription fees as a payment or as a part of payment of another program from the University. The funds for this option have a time limit of one (1) year once the program starts.
Parking, without payment, is subject to available spaces. Please take into account “Pico & Placa” rule applies during all day in EAFIT University parking lot.
