Types of Internships
Today’s concept of internship has to be flexible to accommodate the different needs of a truly global planet. Eafit University has several options to fit different requirements from students, companies and the University.
Working Contract Students may develop a full time contractual work program within an established organization be it a small business, corporation, etc., in the country or abroad.
Internship in a Foreign Country BUSSINES, COMMERCIAL ,RESEARCH,ETC UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE IIMPROVEMENT OF A SECOND LANGUAGE, ENGLISH, FRENCH OR GERMAN
Research Students participate in established research projects within the University or in Institutions with which the University has existing cooperation agreements.
Consultant Services for Small and Medium Business Ventures Students may assist small and medium businesses as consultants, BUSINESS INTERNSHIP Students may join an established business as assistants whose job or as research assistants.
Teaching Internship Students who choose to intern as teachers will be trained as teaching assistants, working under full time University professors. The Research and Teaching division will monitor teacher assistants and provide support during their internship.
Intern in a Company or Place of Business
EAFIT – AIESEC Alliance AIESEC is the world's largest student organization, and it is considered an international platform for young people willing to face the challenge of developing their potential with the ultimate purpose of creating a positive impact on society.
Social Services SOCIAL SERVICES Students may complete their internship by working for non-profit organizations seeking social and economic growth.
Entrepeneuring Students will dedicate one year to establish a new business or transform a previously existing one. The first semester will be dedicated to planning and the second semester will be used to set up and start off the new enterprise. The University will provide training in Establishing a Business - Planning and Entreprenuring before the internship.

WORK EXPERIENCE VALIDATION Any student may validate current work experience if he has been under contract for at least a year and if the line of work is directly related to his chosen career. Part - time employees may also apply.
ONE YEAR INTERNSHIP The University may allow a full year internship when the intern is involved in a Project that requires that he remain for a longer period of time. | |
