Background: The program opened in 1994.
Objectives:
To prepare specialists in international business that, based on their bilingual abilities and the analysis of various international environments, will be able to conduct organizational internationalization. The Specialist in International Business will be competent in:
- The identification and analysis of the different settings that are part of the field of the International Business.
- The application of their acquired knowledge in the fields of International Economy, International Marketing, International Finance, International Logistics, and in the different modalities that regulate International Trade.
- The designing of insertion strategies for penetration into international markets.
- Identifying trading opportunities offered by the markets of the of the main economical integration blocks.
- Understanding and adjusting to the multiparty agreements of the World Trade Organization.
- Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the follow up of a program focused on international expansion.
Graduate’s Profile:
The graduate in International Business at EAFIT University will be prepared to assess the various environments that affect international business, and be the leader of internationalization processes in organizations.
Requirements:
The candidate to the Graduate Certificate in International Business must have been awarded an undergraduate degree from a university, account for work experience of at least one year, and have a good command of English in reading, writing, and conversation, because there are several courses taught in such language.
