Background of this Program:
This program was created in 1984 and has appealed to Computer Scientists, Accountants and control professionals in a wide variety of organizations. At present it is offered only at the Medellin campus.
Objective:
To achieve that its graduates:
- Acquire a high level of knowledge in the tools and methodologies needed to carry out audits in the field of Informatics.
- Develop skills to identify and evaluate the risks implied in the organization and operation of an Informatics division.
- Develop the ability to participate with qualified opinions in the Informatics strategy planning process, by contributing the controlling aspects of it.
- Acquire the expertise to suggest improvements to the information systems, so that they reach the necessary quality, effectiveness, and economy.
Aimed at:
Computing Engineers, Auditors, Fiscal Auditors, and Heads of Departments that deal with control areas, auditing or systems, with a high level of knowledge in Computing.
Graduate’s Profile:
The graduate in Systems Auditing is qualified to:
- Identify the possible risks of handling a company’s information.
- Suggest appropriate controls for such risks.
- Construct Informatics security models,
- Evaluate the administration of Informatics resources, and
- Effectively manage the area of Computing Auditing.
