The adequate incorporation of communication technologies in education are attributed an important effect in the improvement of the quality of education processes and learning given the versatilities that these offer to produce, store, recover and transmit information in a very didactic way.
‘Canal E’ is projected as a form of institutional communication and as a means of support for the integral education that is developed in the university, working on the following guidelines:
The Channel is developed with the participation of all of the university community, taking advantage of the synergy of human talent that exists in the institution as a strategy selected to guarantee the quality of work.

Communication and Cultural Office:
This office has the mission of strengthening the communication and cultural processes in and outside of the university, to consolidate an institutional image in the national and international context, characterized by the undisputable commitment and respect with the different cultural manifestations and to maintain and activate the relationship of the university with it’s the different public sectors. They consist of four areas: public relations, information and press, cultural extension, and graphic and digital communication.

CONEXIONES – IT and Education Research:
The CONEXIONES project was created in 1993 in Medellín as a research project in educational information technology of EAFIT University. From then on it has been constructing an innovative and significant proposal for the incorporation of these technologies in primary education in Colombia. CONEXIONES counts with a National Information net consisting of more than 100 education institutions in urban and rural zones, without making a socio-economical distinction, that are located in different regions of the country. These Institutions receive, in the incorporation of the CONEXIONES model, the support of research groups and development of partner universities.
