Research at EAFIT
“EAFIT seeks to be recognized nationally and internationally for its academic achievements and research. It develops the intellectual capacity of it students and teachers in all the academic programs with research as the fundamental base”.
To achieve this goal, the university encourages the formation of research groups where students and teachers work within their fields using their potential and expertise, in order to obtain good results in a wide variety of areas.
Publications
- EAFIT Magazine Revista Universidad EAFIT: It appeared for the first time in 1965. It is distributed quarterly with the purpose of stimulating the publication of national and international current topics, research, creative development and intellectual production of EAFIT’s lecturers and external collaborators.
- Research Newsletter Cuadernos de Investigación: it operates as a technical report on the ongoing research at the University.
- Economic Echoes Ecos de Economia:
- Engineering and Science Ingeniería y Ciencias: Published twice a year, it aims to promote the publication of research articles in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, biology, geography and genetics, and their engineering applications.

Partnerships for Research, Teaching and Consulting
ICIPC - Plastic and Rubber Training Institute – The University is also proud to be a partner with the National Association of Plastic and the private sector in creating an Institute for the purpose of doing research, consulting to the industry, and teaching at the postgraduate level. As an academic result, there are two Graduate programs: the Graduate Certificate in Plastic and Rubber Transformation Process and the Master of Engineering in Polymer Processing.
