Presentation
EAFIT University's School of Engineering offers to the community its Master's degree of Engineering with academic training focused on research an related areas of Computing and Systems, Applied Mechanics (Analytical and Computational), Maintenance, Production, Design, Management and Physical, Chemical and Biochemical Processes.

The Master's Degree is intended to expand knowledge and appropiation of creative abilities to study and discuss issues throughout the progressive domain of concepts, techniques and methods of study and research. Therefore, the result is a contribution and interdisciplinary knowledge for the professional field.

The Master's degree of Engineering and Sciences of the Engineering School at EAFIT is aimed to:

The scientific and technological development of the region and the country.
The development of research capabilities of their students
Strenghtening student's research groups.
Generating and implementing new knowledge.
Promoting research results.
Training professionals capable and willing to participate in research projects.
Creating research projects with the purpose of generating progress, welfare and wealth.
The active participation of research groups at the School of Engineering and other Institutions.

General Purpose
Continue professional's training in the field of Engineering - and related areas - with the purpose of developing research skills (as researchers), or providing new knowledges and training to improve their performance in industry, consulting and other fields (as experts).

Collateral Purposes

Meet the training needs of graduate engineers (human being), academic (science)and industry (society).

Promote and encourage interelations(IDI), science (logos), technology (tech logos), innovation (creation) and production of goods and services (technology).

To train researchers and technicians in areas of expertise offered.

Integrating the strengths and the actions of formative processes of Schools of Engineering, Management and Sciences and Human Studies.

The Master
The Master of Engineering at EAFIT University is offered as an ecouraging space to expand awareness and appropriate professional abilities through concepts, techniques and methods. As aresult, al disciplinary, interdisciplinary and professional knowledge of students will be enhanced.

In addition, the Master of Engineering articulates its program around a set of courses that allow students to define their workload and training based on their rythms, interests and theme of their graduation project.

Length and workload:
The length of the program is about three or four academic periods depending on the modality chosen. The student must have an 18 weeks part-time attendance.
