You can be admitted to undergraduate and graduate programs at the University as a regular, visiting, or exchange student.
Regular Student:
To apply for regular admission to any of the undergraduate programs, the following is required:
- To fill in application form, stating the program preferred and a second choice (it can be done on-line).
- Application fee deposited in bank account (details are on forms). This fee is non-refundable.
- The following documents:
- Receipt to show that application fee has been deposited in bank account.
- Original copy of the State Testing Service (ICFES) results, or those of the State Test taken at your country of origin.
- Certificate of proficiency in English (for applicants to the International Business Program)
- Proof of affiliation to an insurance company and a certificate of blood type and Rh Factor.
- Music applicants must fulfill additional requirements. Please refer to the program information.
Upon presentation of this documentation, the applicant will be given an identification card. In some cases, an additional interview may be required. Results are displayed in the university within two weeks of the applications being received, and can also been seen on the website.
If you have graduated from High School in another country, your degree must be validated in Colombia. EAFIT will give you six months to do the process, while you are attending the program.
Entry Requirements
To become a regular student at EAFIT, High School graduates must submit the transcripts of the last year of studies. If you are not a graduate yet, you must send a certification of your school as to when you will obtain your diploma. The admissions From is available in Internet, but we advise you to contact the International Relations Office for assistance.
Students applying for transfer from other universities must submit their academic records, and in most cases will also be called for a personal interview. Exchange students are exempt from the interview. Please visit the Admissions site for further information.
Fees
Tuition is paid according to units related to the workload. They are called UMEs, and are not related to the credit system. During the first semester, workload is equal for all students within the same program.
