Conscious of the importance of exchanges in a globalised world, EAFIT has developed co-operation agreements with universities abroad, as well as in Colombia. Such agreements are of three kinds:

1. Exchange Agreements: They allow for students and staff to spend an academic period in another university and the results of their work will be accredited towards the completion of requirements at EAFIT.
2. Double Degree: Partner institutions allow for those registered as regular students, to spend a pre-determined academic period at the host institution, and given successful completion of the courses required, and after graduation from EAFIT, students will be awarded the degree from the Partner institution.
3. Transfer Agreements: A partner institution will allow for a student who has completed a number of semesters at EAFIT, to transfer the credits needed to earn a degree at the host institution. Such transfer does not imply a Double Degree.
4. Internship Agreements: allow for researchers or young graduates, to spend a semester or a year abroad, working in their field tutored by one or both institutions.
