Even
though energy supply for all Colombian territory is the Nation’s responsibility,
the effort of every agent involved makes a perfect supply and demand
equilibrium at a 60 Hz system frequency.
State
regulatory participants such as regulators, institutions, and superintendents;
market participants such as generators, distributors, transmitters and energy
users will have to contribute, so Colombian energy industry will lead to a
market structure able to face climate change, scarce resources, and limitations
on low cost fuels energy generation.
Objective
To understand the challenges faced by Colombia's
energy structure, the exogenous factors that will affect our country’s energy
viability, and the actions and strategies needed for a sustainable and reliable
energy industry.
