EAFIT Pereira
The Coffee Growers’ Axis is considered the development hub of western Colombia and the steady rise in business activity in that region was a key reason why EAFIT opened its doors there in 1995.
As the capital of Risaralda department and home to a large number of EAFIT alumni, Pereira was an ideal place to strengthen graduate programs targeting them while also consolidating strong ties with other universities in that city and the departments of Quindio and Caldas.
Thanks to those efforts, a new EAFIT Pereira campus at Carrera 19 No 12-50 was opened in 2010 – a project that reaffirms our university’s commitment to work with educational institutions, the private sector and government organizations to foster the progress and development of the three “coffee triangle” departments.
