Since it was founded in 1960, EAFIT’s philosophy has always been to promote collaboration between the university and the private sector. Indeed, the productive sector has maintained a permanent relationship with our institution based on a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and experiences.
This relationship is strengthened by joint research and innovation projects, counseling and consulting, applied knowledge, cooperation agreements, professional practice and permanent contact with graduates, all of which make the university a leader in this area. In responding to the different needs of society, EAFIT also has established closer ties with the government in recent years.
Center for Innovation, Consulting and Entrepreneurship (Cice)
Since 2006, the Center for Innovation, Consulting and Entrepreneurship (Cice) accompanies and provides solutions to companies, governments, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, organizations and other entities that make up the business fabric of the city and country. Its work is supported by the knowledge and experience of the university’s different academic and research entities, which provide technology transfers in technical, administrative, market, social, environmental and communications and information technology (CIT) areas and formative processes that contribute to social and economic development.
Each year, the university reaffirms its focus on expanding its visibility by carrying out close to 130 projects in these fields. The Cice also supports the creation of new businesses, many of them at the initiative of EAFIT students and alumni.
