To respond to the academic demands of future generations, Universidad EAFIT coordinates two of its strategic focal points – academics and research – to strengthen its undergraduate and graduate programs.
This union is clearly identifiable in the institution’s academic structure, with the President’s Office at the top followed by the Vice President’s Office and then the schools that comprise the various academic departments.

This structure is replicated at each of the four schools (Management, Engineering, Sciences and Humanities and Law), which have a dean who heads the administrative and academic processes and oversees the department heads. The latter, in turn, are supported by a team of collaborators made up of undergraduateand graduate-level academic coordinators.
EAFIT’s Sistema Metro (Metro System), meanwhile, facilitates students’ move from the undergraduate to the graduate level, allowing them to decide on an area of emphasis and pursue coursework in that specialty during their final semesters of undergraduate study. Those credits are then recognized at the graduate level and counted either toward a Graduate Certificate Program or Master’s or PhD degree program.
