The
School of Economics and Finance at
EAFIT University – a school with an established reputation as one of Latin America’s leading and most distinctive centers for teaching and research is inviting applications for three full-time permanent positions in the
Department of Finance. Universidad Eafit is a private University located in the heart of
Medellin, Colombia, a delightful and cosmopolitan city renowned for its innovation and charm.
The Department is focussed on outstanding research and teaching in the areas of Corporate Finance and Financial Markets. The successful candidates will support the Department of Finance in its growth objectives by contributing to research output, teaching, academic management and consulting.
Teaching will take place at
doctorate, master’s and bachelor's levels in areas related to Corporate Finance and/or Financial Markets. Since many teaching activities are in Spanish, good knowledge of this language is essential.
The position is open to candidates both inside and outside the Colombia university system.
Call work 1 (two positions):
PROFILE
The applicant should have:
- A PhD degree (or be in the candidate process) in finance or equivalent fields.
- Research experience in the last two years as principal researcher or as co-researcher in the areas defined at this opening.
- A high level (MCE B2, C is desirable) of written and spoken English, as well as Spanish, is essential.
- A record of accomplishment of peer-reviewed publications is desirable, but we will also consider graduating applicants with a strong research agenda for the Assistant Professor position.
- The ability and interest to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Call work 2:
PROFILE
The applicant should have:
- A master’s degree in finance or equivalent fields.
- A PhD degree in finance or equivalent fields or candidate status in a PhD program is desirable.
- Management experience of at least two years, within an academic institution is desirable.
- A high level (MCE B2, C is desirable) of written and spoken English, as well as Spanish, is essential.
- Research experience as principal researcher or as co-researcher in the areas defined at this opening is desirable.
- The ability and interest to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Offer
