Abstract
The current article describes the shared hydric resources
a possible source of conflicts among different countries,
while focusing on the issues that have surged among Colombia
and Venezuela because of the resources they share alongside
the border. It then relates, how Colombia could learn from
Canada, which is one of the most important countries in
the world in terms of hydric resources and that has faced
similar shared hydric resources issues in the past, particularly
at its border with U.S.
