BackgroundThe International Business program dates back to 1993. It is the leading program in the bilingual iniciative which the University is developing across all of its undergraduate programs. As a professional option, it develops the abilities necessary to deal with the competitive business environment.JustificationAt the beginning of the 1990s Colombia faced emerging challenges as a result of changes to the world economy. At that time it did not have appropriate academic programs to help organizations face the new challenges arising from the opening of the Colombian market to foreign competition. These new conditions require a new kind of professional, one able to understand and guide internationalization processes in a globalized world of open economies.
The International Business undergraduate program is a response to the following factors:
ObjectivesThe International Business undergraduate program has set out the following objectives with the aim of carrying out its commitments in light of the vision and mission established by the University:
Language RequirementsProspective students of International Negotiations must have a minimum score
Otherwise they will be required to have a TOEIC score of at least 650, or TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 61 points or another valid examination.
By sixth semester, a B2 in English is required, and a B1 in a third language is necessary to have an internship.
