BIO 2030 is a strategic Master Plan that, under the concept of town planning and sustainable territorial planning, extends the horizon of urban planification to the aforementioned year. It arises from an invitation of Área Metropolitana del Vallle de Aburrá and Medellín Mayor's office /Medellín city Hall (Metropolitan Agreement 013 de 2011). It builds a coherent, consensual and concerted planning proposal. It was coordinated technically by Urbam EAFIT and took part of local universities and international consultancy. The result of this Plan is strategic, prospective and focused on action, and will guide the territorial development of the Aburrá Valley towards the construction of a common ground: a sustainable valley, socially equitable and competitive in front of the world.
