The capitalization of Proyecto Urbano Integral –PUI- It is an initiative involving the French Development Agency – AFD-, the Urban Development Company - EDU - and Urbam EAFIT with the purpose of analyzing the experiences of urban renovation in Medellín, specifically in the northeastern part of the city.
The French Development Agency – AFD -, La Agenda Francesa de Desarrollo -AFD-, the Urban Development Company – EDU – and the Center for Urban and Environmental studies - Urbam -, articulate their efforts for the development of an investigation focused in the systematization of a set of instruments and mechanisms of intervention for the Proyecto Urbano Integral –PUI- northeastern and the housing consolidation in the Juan Bobo Creek, Identifying, contextualizing and analyzing the main methodological tools of the experience in order to understand and replicate the lessons learned.
This project aims to document and publish from the urban, social and institutional perspective, the transformation process and the strategies, instruments and intervention mechanisms established in the PUI, with the idea of learning and replicating the urban renewal experience to other cities in Latin America. The objective is to systematize the northeastern PUI in the technical, methodological and theoretical component.
