Resumen CV / Summary

​I am a Professor of Economics at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, Colombia, where I am also the director of the Center for Research in Economics and Finance—CIEF. Before joining Universidad EAFIT, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago Pearson Institute & Innovations for Poverty Action Peace and Recovery Program.

Intereses académicos e investigativos / Research and Teaching Interest

​My research interests lie in the fields of development economics and political economy. I use experimental and quasi-experimental methods to study crime, violence and public policy in developing countries.
