EAFIT established a presence in that city in 1989 in order to facilitate the university’s dealings with government agencies and attain greater proximity to significant events. There also was a need to expand the offering of seminars and continuing education courses in general, which has fostered a closer relationship with alumni residing in the Colombian capital.
Among EAFIT’s key strategies in that metropolis are the services it provides to large companies, SMEs, governments, entrepreneurs, educational institutions and social entities. These include efforts to develop domestic and international markets, improve environmental and social standards and implement information and communication technology.
EAFIT currently offers graduate certificate programs in Marketing, Business Administration and Finance, as well as Knowledge for Life (intended for senior citizens), the Executive Program in Foreign Languages and the Spanish for Foreigners program.
