Selector of Energy Consumption Models for Electric Vehicles

This application is derived from the paper “Villa, D., & Montoya, A. (2018). A taxonomy of energy consumption models for electric vehicles. IEEE Explore.” From the Movici Joint Conference for Urban Mobility in the Smart City that took place in Medellín, Colombia on April 18-20. To access the conference: click here

In the field of transportation planning, estimating energy consumption in electric vehicles is a necessity when it comes to charging moment planning. In this way, energy consumption models help to estimate the real consumption relying on different parameters. However, the abundancy of models in the literature makes difficult to identify which one to use. Choosing an available set of parameters is very important as there is not a universal set common to all the models. Hence, this application will help researchers and professionals in transportation planning to choose consumption models from the literature that best suit their available parameters.

This web application will display some of the existing energy consumption models for electrics vehicles. These models will match the selected parameters from the list below.

By selecting the parameters available to you and clicking the search button, this application will display the models that can be constructed from the selected parameters. Then, the application will list the links to access the papers of the models that best fit the selection.
