FOCUS LATIN AMERICA is an optics workshop featuring a great technical and non-technical professional development opportunity for optics students. Attendees will have the chance to present their works, share experiences with colleagues from SPIE and OSA Student Chapters and learn from specialized research leaders. Registration for the conference is free to both SPIE and OSA Student Chapter members. Most meals are included and travel support is available to students who submit an abstract by August 1st. Experience the culture of Colombia and see Medellin: a beautiful, cosmopolitan city, voted the most innovative in the world by the Wall Street Journal.
