María Isabel Hernández Pérez es profesora asociada del área de Sistemas Naturales y Sostenibilidad y jefe del pregrado en Ingeniería Agronómica. La profesora Hernández es ingeniera agrónoma, magister en Ciencias Agrarias y doctora en Horticultura y Agronomía en la Universidad de California, Davis. Actualmente su investigación se enfoca en eco fisiología de diversos cultivos, entre ellos arándanos, aguacate y banano, utilizando tecnologías de la Agricultura 4.0 para describir respuestas de crecimiento y desarrollo en las plantas a condiciones climáticas y de suelo.

Maria Isabel Hernandez Perez is an Associate Professor in the Area of Natural Systems and Sustainability and is also the Head of the Undergraduate program in Agricultural Engineering at Universidad EAFIT. Professor Hernandez, holds degrees as an Agricultural Engineer, a Master's in Agricultural Sciences, and a Doctorate in Horticulture and Agronomy from the University of California, Davis. Her current research is focused on the ecophysiology of various crops, including blueberries, avocados, and bananas, using Agriculture 4.0 technologies to analyze growth and development responses of plants under different climatic and soil conditions.
