Resumen CV / Summary

Raúl Andres Castañeda Quintero. B.S. in Physics Engineering and M.S. in Physics from the University of Colombia – Medellín. Ph.D. in Electrical and Computational Engineering from the University of Memphis, USA.  

During his academic training, Professor Raul has been interested in optics and digital processing, especially the focus on Holography and Digital Holographic Microscopy. During his master's and doctorate, Professor Raul specialized in hardware and software techniques to develop new strategies to improve digital holography systems. 

Regarding his professional experience, Professor Raul completed his doctoral studies at the Optical Imaging Research Laboratory of the University of Memphis with Professor Ana Doblas as supervisor. After his return to Colombia, Raul was the Leader of the Photonics, Optics, and Machine Learning laboratory at the Instituto Tecnologico Metropolitano. Professor Raul is an active member of the research group in Applied Optics at EAFIT University.  ​
