Resumen: My doctoral research focuses on multilingual communication in intercultural management. It explores how managers shape and determine the nature and the official use of corporate language —particularly the company’s specific terminology or “company-speak”— and leverage it as a strategic asset in multinational enterprises. It is a qualitative, single case study of an international joint venture where different national, regional, and special languages are used. Data is obtained from documentation and semi-structured interviews with managers and analyzed from a critical realist perspective through content and terminological analysis.
