Pedagogical Model                                                                            

EAFIT's online programs, follow a pedagogical model focused on the student and the activities they perform. To this end, the University assigns tutors to watch over the accomplishment of the traced objectives, by using information technologies as a permanent means of communication and interaction. Some of these programs advantages are:

  • Constant, fast, personalized orientation to the participants.
  • Each participant chooses the place to study.
  • Interaction with people from different regions and countries.
  • Online platform customized for EAFIT's students.
  • Standard formats for the activities.

  • Commitment to adequately fulfilling the participant's questions and concerns.
  • Forums for topic discussions and continuous assessment.
  • Online activities designed to generate reflection and interiorization of knowledge.
  • Support service and management of technical aspects.
  • Clear-cut assessment criteria for the learning activities.

Interaction and Support

Online Education provides special support from the tutor to each student along the learning process. The following features are those of the tutors selected by EAFIT:
 

Comunication

Provides permanent and personalized interaction with the student, using a straightforward and motivating language, which aims to facilitate the communication process, featuring a maximum response time of 24 hours during the week, and 48 hours during the weekends throughout all the program.
 

Process-oriented support

The tutor looks after the student on each stage of the process concerning planning, description of the activities proposed, directions, presentation and results. Moreover, the tutor watches over the proper development of the diploma, according to the academic program scheduled.
 

Activities feedback

The tutor permanently monitors each student through assistance, orientation, and evaluation of the activities, encouraging a more independent and collaborative learning process, supporting pedagogical interaction according to the presented needs.
