Physics Engineering

Here you will learn from physics and mathematics applied to conceive products and services with a high technological level, in order to read and anticipate the future of a changing world. In this program, physical sciences are combined with engineering skills and tools and the result is a profile that allows you to address problems from different areas, such as nanotechnology, aerospace industry, bioengineering, through advanced computing.

Systems Engineering

Here you will learn to develop computer systems. It is not exaggerated to say that the computing has been permeated almost everything, and this enhances the field of systems engineer. Today there is not a single business that does not use information technologies, and that is that computational solutions have come to make life easier. For this reason, opportunities are equally extensive in terms of innovation, generation of new ideas and in general of creation.

Biology

Here you will learn to use the scientific method to understand living beings deeply, to study biodiversity patterns. Studying biology in one of the most biodiverse countries in the world is a privilege: in EAFIT we use these areas as a great laboratory. When we think of races of the future, Biology is one of them. Society urgently demands professionals who know the needs of the planet and contribute to the improvement of the processes that minimize the impact of activities related to the environment and their sustainability.

Geology

The country is your great classroom. Colombia is one of the most interesting and rich countries from the geological point of view: we have three mountain ranges, 21 active volcanoes, an average of 2500 earthquakes per month (30,000 thousand a year!), The three types of rocks that allow us to obtain different minerals and types of energy, two oceans, six glacier areas, hundreds of rivers and, as if it were little, several hundred cubic kilometers of cubic water (70% of all continental water in the country!).

Agronomic Engineering

Here you will learn to make agricultural systems more productive. If something needed the world in the near future, they are food, raw materials (cotton, wood, others ...), ecosystem services. The populations grow, the cities expand and everything becomes scarce, even if the needs are greater. When we talk about races of the future, this is one of them: the correct agronomic management of the field will depend our survival as a species and the well -being of future generations.  

Urban Design

Here you will learn to design and manage cities and territories in harmony with nature and people. We face the challenge of living on an increasingly urban planet, where more than half of the population lives in cities that expand rapidly and, in doing so, produce ecological and social impacts. Today we know that these cities must be designed and built with criteria that point to well -being not only of humans, but of all life forms that live in them.

Product Design Engineering

This is the program where curious people, creative and passionate about design, people, technology and market find a place. An undergraduate to work on the solution of contemporary and future problems, through the design of new products, services and experiences, and the redesign of what is already done. 

Mechanical Engineering

Here you will learn to create artifacts and solve problems related to machines, equipment and facilities of all kinds. If we look carefully, the great advances of humanity consist of mechanical problems that someone solved: from the wheel to space trips. 

This is an always in force program: machines evolve and will never miss a mechanical problem that needs to be solved. 

Production Engineering

Here you will learn to plan, manage and control an industrial process or service. Productive systems of any kind will always be susceptible to improvements: from planning to obtain resources or select a material, for example, to market positioning. Administer these logistics flows and rethink them to make them more efficient, requires a methodology and academic and practical knowledge that we will provide throughout this program.
